Meet Su

You might be wondering why I have my own description on Penny’s Blog.  I have the incredible opportunity of helping Penny write about her adventures.  Many of the exciting exploits that she shares are very similar to ones I have experienced.

Penny says that I’m a cooperative conglomerate character too.  I do love to cooperate with so many different and wonderful people.  I do lots of different things that are all wrapped together in a wonderful and adventurous life.  And I’m quite fond of being unique.  So I guess the description fits me too.

I am:
~ an expressive arts counselor: I help kids, tweens, teens, adults, and families sort things out when it’s not going so hot.  Together we use paint, clay, sand, music, costumes, puppets, and voices to encourage each client to feel better about his or her own adventurous life!
~ a teacher:  I teach visual and kinetic art to people of all ages.  I also work with adults who want to become more fantastic teachers and counselors.
~ a writer: Penny is my pseudonym for this blog!  Many of the people in this blog are real people - some of them have pseudonym's too!  I also write about expressive arts counseling and teaching with the arts.
Sarah and Su - storytelling partners!
~ an artist:  I love theatre!  I directed my first play in fourth grade and just kept going!  I adore creating and telling stories.  I also love building sand worlds, photography, and collage.  My latest fun passion is making and trading ATC’s (Artist Trading Cards)!
~ a mom: I have two incredible adult sons who have enriched my life beyond words and worlds!  I love you to touch the stars Aaron and Ian!
~ a daughter and sister:  I grew up in the mountains above Boulder, Colorado with my daddy (Jim), my mom (Ruth), and my brother (Bob).  We played, camped, challenged, and loved each other.  Much of my steadfast uniqueness I owe to their encouragement!
Chelsea - Sunday afternoon bird watching
~ an aunt, niece, cousin, and friend:  I love my family and friends!  They live all over the United States and sometimes in other parts of the world!  It is so incredible to listen and be listened to and to love and be loved!

I live in a little hobbit hole with a skyline view in Lakewood, Colorado with my art, antiques, and my amazing dog, Chelsea!
